About Caryn L. Stark

A native New Yorker with a private practice in New York City, Caryn L. Stark is a prestigious Media Psychologist appearing frequently on television, radio and in print. Caryn is “the psychologist of choice” preferred by many television producers because she delivers “quick on her feet, candid analysis” of their guests.

A natural in front of the camera, Caryn has appeared on over 100 television shows and for ten years was the featured psychologist on the CBS affiliate show “AM Philadelphia”, as well as a featured psychologist on several call-in radio programs. She has appeared on hundreds of national television shows, including: Extra, Good Morning America and Prime Time. In addition, Caryn currently appears as a regular guest on CNN’s Nancy Grace Show and weekly on Court TV, Bill O’Reilly, The Donny Deutch Show, MSNBC News, Glenn Beck, Scarborough Country and more.

Caryn’s success is due in part to her unique personal approach to the issues most people face on a daily basis regarding relationships and personal change. Although her expertise is well earned through scholarly endeavors and research, she emphasizes personal experience and empathy in her technique. Her style enables patients, and television “viewers” and “callers” to quickly feel they are not alone in their problem, and to realize that they can frequently begin to help themselves through simple changes in their behavior.

Because Caryn specializes in interpersonal relationships, effective communication skills, and personal change, her clients include a variety of New York professionals and celebrities. Currently Caryn has a waiting list for her weekly group sessions where the focus is on reducing early traumatic experiences to help create personal change. This philosophy is the basis for another part of her practice in which she uses EMDR techniques in order to help people who are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Presently, Caryn is working on a book with New York Times best selling author Gloria Hochman on coping with traumatic experiences. Caryn also offers couple and marriage counseling, often focusing on issues such as infertility and communication between the sexes.
